For the Kalamazoo Public Library and Kalamazoo Public Schools OneCard partnership, I merged both entities’ branding to create a clean, recognizable design that feels cohesive and unified.
In Design
Early in my career, I was tasked with designing promotional materials for the non-profit where I worked, creating brochures, postcards, mailers, and more, despite having no formal design experience. I started with Microsoft Publisher and quickly expanded my skills to meet the organization’s needs. I took crash courses in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and learned through trial and error. While I’m not a professional graphic designer, I have a solid network of designer colleagues I rely on for guidance on work beyond my scope. I do, however, have a keen eye for design and can create a wide range of pieces to support an integrated marketing package. This versatility has always made me an attractive candidate: I’m a one-stop-shop who can do it all, and I’m willing to figure out anything I don’t know how to do.
