My career is built on a foundation of advocacy and a deep love for community. These values are exactly why I chose the non-profit path. From building playgrounds in Chicago for disadvantaged youth to marching on Capitol Hill to advocate for legislative reform for pediatric cancer patients, I turn passion into action by using my talents in marketing and media to make a measurable difference.
In the Community
Cancer Families United
In December 2013, my son’s diagnosis with acute lymphoblastic leukemia introduced me to Cancer Families United, a network of parents navigating the same terrifying reality. As I learned how critically underfunded and overlooked pediatric cancer treatment is, I channeled my anger into advocacy. I joined the board in 2014 and immediately began driving results: creating marketing campaigns, organizing fundraisers, and lobbying on Capitol Hill. This work culminated in a major victory in 2018, when I played a role in the passage of the Childhood Cancer Survivorship, Treatment, Access, and Research (STAR) Act.
